Chelston Park: a little background information
Chelston Park was formerly one of the residences of the Fox family, a well-known local business family. It was built in the 1920’s and became a care home in 1986 with the extension added in 1989.
Chelston Park has 31 bedrooms, comprising 22 single rooms and 9 double rooms. There are two lounges and a dining room. A four-person passenger lift services the first and second floor.
Chelston Park Nursing & Residential Home was acquired in 2000. Chelston Park is a dual registered home registered for 36 residents on the outskirts of Wellington, some five and a half miles from Taunton and five minutes from junction 26 of the M5 motorway. Chelston is unique in the area in that it combines a manageable size, giving a homely feel, with first class nursing facilities set in extensive flat grounds and beautiful views towards the Blackdown Hills and Wellington Monument.
Chelston Park is part of a group of companies, which includes Netherclay House Residential Home and Netherclay Home Care.
Netherclay House Residential Home was established in 1972 and provides quality residential care to 40 residents. Netherclay House is set in beautiful grounds bordering the river Tone in the village of Bishops Hull, some one & a half miles from Taunton.
At Netherclay House we also offer self contained apartments set in the grounds, close to main care home. They offer the same levels of care and service while providing greater independence. Residents can use all the facilities and services provided in the main care home.
Netherclay Home Care Ltd (NHC) was established in early 1993. NHC was registered with Somerset County Council in 1996 and with the Commission of Social Care Inspection in April 2003. Our aim is the provision of quality homecare, in order to support service users to live independently in their own homes.
The management of Chelston Park prides itself on offering high quality Nursing and Residential care delivered by well trained , caring, friendly staff in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Chelston Park aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which the care, well being and comfort of all Residents are of prime importance.
Chelston Park is pleased to accept residents for long term as well as short term for convalescence and holiday stays.
All Care Staff within the Home are trained appropriately to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in Care Practices.
Chelston Park was recognised as an Investor in People in June 2006.
Chelston Park has just completed a refurbishment programme with the completion of a new garden room which provides additional facilities for residents and their families to enjoy. |
